How it Started

“Why can’t we come together and work as one?”

About two years ago, Crystal Reyes began reaching out to women from neighboring congregations with a simple question: “Why can’t we come together and work as one?” Women from different congregations answered that call, and a network of sisters began working together. Last year, that vision became our first Ladies Conference—a day of fellowship, worship, workshops, and encouragement. What began as a simple question became a gathering of sisters, united in faith.

Life can leave us tired, overwhelmed, or feeling like we have nothing left to give. But come anyway. A conversation, song, prayer, workshop, or sister beside you may be exactly what you need. And perhaps you'll be the encouragement someone else needs that day.

Dr. Sybil Knight-Burney

Keynote Speaker

Dr. Sybil Knight-Burney attends the Harrisburg Church of Christ in Pennsylvania. She will bring a message of faith, encouragement, unity, and sisterhood, prepared especially for this gathering of sisters.

A Life of Leadership & Education

Dr. Knight-Burney is a transformational educational consultant and lifelong educator. She served as Superintendent of the Harrisburg City School District from 2010 to 2019, where she focused on student achievement, college and career preparation, early childhood education, educator effectiveness, and parent engagement.
Throughout her career, she has helped lead initiatives that expand opportunities for students, including full-day kindergarten, the district’s first blended Cyber Learning School, and a STEM/STEAM education division. Her work reflects a lifelong commitment to empowering others to learn, grow, and reach their full potential.
