Saying Goodbye with Gratitude

One of the more difficult parts of being a church family is saying goodbye. We rejoice when God brings people into our lives, but it is never easy when a season comes to an end and families begin a new chapter somewhere else.

In the coming days, we will be saying goodbye to several families who have made a meaningful impact at Greenbank.

Seth and Jeanette Cannon, along with their daughter, will be moving to Virginia. Seth has blessed many through his bread ministry. With diligence and care, he baked bread and shared it for birthdays, encouragement, and moments when someone simply needed to feel remembered. As I write this, I am enjoying a slice myself! That ministry was more than bread—it was love expressed in a practical way. Jeanette, thank you as well for faithfully supporting that work and serving alongside your family.

Enoc and Leivy Reyes and their children will be moving to Honduras. Enoc has served faithfully in leadership and as a deacon in the Hispanic ministry. He has also helped organize and lead many of the flooring and rehabilitation projects downstairs. His expertise, hard work, and willingness to help have blessed the church and many individual members.

Ian and Alexia Jennings and their children have also made a lasting contribution. While caring for their own family, they still found ways to volunteer, teach classes, and serve in Children's Church. Their investment in our children and in the life of this congregation has mattered.

To each of these families: thank you. Thank you for serving, giving, encouraging, building, teaching, and loving. Whether your work was visible to everyone or quietly done behind the scenes, it made a difference.

You have left Greenbank better than when you came. You will be missed, prayed for, and always remembered as part of our church family.
