One More Day

God gave me one more day,
another chance to begin.

I cannot change yesterday,
and tomorrow is not promised,
but I have today.

Today I can pray.
Today I can forgive.
Today I can encourage someone,
help someone,
and show the love of Christ.

Lord, help me not waste this day.

When I am tired, give me strength.
When I am worried, give me peace.
When I am discouraged, remind me
that You are near.

And when this day is over,
may I be able to say:

I loved it.
I served.
I trusted God.
And I was thankful
for one more day.
