IT IS ALWAYS "US"

A story is told about Denmark's former Queen Margrethe II walking from the palace to nearby shops without visible guards. When a visitor asked who protected her, a Danish citizen replied, "We all do."

The same principle applies to the church. Who helps the church grow and thrive? God gives the increase, but every member has a part in the work (1 Corinthians 3:6–9).

Paul wrote, "For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members don't have the same function" (Romans 12:4). Every Christian has something meaningful to contribute. There are no useless or talentless members in the body of Christ.

Consider a kite. The sticks provide support, the paper catches the wind, the string gives direction, and the person holding it keeps it under control. No single part can claim all the credit. The kite flies because every part works together.

The Lord's work succeeds in the same way. Some teach, visit, encourage, give, care for children, assist widows and widowers, feed those in need, or serve quietly behind the scenes. Every task matters.

The church is not merely "they" or "them." It is "we" and "us."

God will always do His part.

The question is: Are we doing ours?
