A Reminder That Evangelism Can Be Simple

A Reminder That Evangelism Can Be Simple

This morning at Wawa, I was reminded of how simple evangelism can be when we make it a natural part of our everyday lives.

As I was making my coffee, I noticed a man who only spoke Spanish. I started a conversation with him about Mexico's first World Cup match and their win. That shared excitement became an easy way to connect.

As we talked, he asked how my Spanish was so strong. I shared that our church had helped me learn and practice Spanish. That opened the door for me to tell him about Greenbank Church of Christ and what makes our congregation unique.

He seemed genuinely interested and said he thought it was very interesting.

Our conversation continued when we both walked out to our cars. We realized we were parked right next to each other. He rolled down his window and asked me more about the church. I was able to get his contact information and send him our website, service times, and an invitation to visit.

That moment reminded me that God is often working in ways we don't expect. A simple conversation over a cup of coffee became an opportunity to share the hope of Christ.

These everyday encounters remind us that sharing our faith doesn't always require a planned event or a perfect presentation. Sometimes it begins with a friendly conversation and a willingness to let God open the door.

Please join me in praying that this connection continues and that he visits Greenbank Church of Christ. May God continue to use ordinary moments for His extraordinary purposes.
